Reality Shift

by Sandra Sayahda Viola

How many times have you wanted to change something
in your life but no matter how hard you tried you always
fell back into old patterns? We always start out with good
intentions but in the end our old beliefs and habits return.
This can be very frustrating. The more we try and fail the
more insecurity sets in. Insecurity paralyzes our creative
process and limits our true capabilities. How can we change
our reality if we are unable to break out of old habits?

As we grow older our brain becomes hardwired and fixed
on specific thoughts and ideas. These thoughts and ideas
represent our experiences both past and present. The brain
holds onto those fixed thoughts. It's difficult to rewire our
brain to accept new ideas because the brain likes
repetition. We can continue to use new affirmations
and hope the brain will eventually accept them. If an
idea has been present in your life for a very long time
don't expect the brain to release that idea quickly without
changing other things in your life first.

In order to change thoughts, habits or patterns, we need
to change the environment that houses that old energy.
The idea of change means we are going to do something
differently. New creations need a "new" support system.
Bringing new ideas or situations into an old environment
doesn't work. Our personal environment needs to undergo
a change to compliment what we are trying to create.

The simple act of removing or adding something in
your personal environment sets the stage for change.
The more you add or subtract objects in your environment
the more you enable the changes you are trying to attain.
All objects hold energy to a larger or lesser degree.
The bigger the object is doesn't necessarily mean the
more energy it holds. When you are adding or subtracting
objects pay attention to its color as well as the objects
shape as all of these things influence the result.

Adding an object that wasn't there before changes the
energy of that particular space. The same is true of
taking something out of that space. As different energy
begins to filter into your environment old ideas and
patterns no longer have the support system they once
did. Without the old support system the brain must
update its data as it unplugs itself from the old.
This process allows new ideas and thoughts to enter.
When your environment is stagnate change cannot occur.

Update, rearrange and modify your personal environment
before you implement change through your thoughts and
ideas. In this way you will find that changing your reality
will be easier and more creative.

Principles of Light

By James Clair Lewis

The Most Infinite & Transcendental separated itself into uncountable tiny parts, which fell into the illusions of separation & darkness. Each of us is God's Dream. Don't let that Dream become a nightmare....

I've found that literal interpretations of scriptures, lead to nonsense. Only from the context of Mystical experience can one make sense out of them. The qualities of serenity, compassion, humility, & wisdom proceed from an inner Realization, and otherwise, it really doesn't matter, what you believe or think. Scriptures are like a pointing finger. The question is, are you going to stare at the finger, or are you going to investigate what the finger is pointing at?

An Atheist once said to me, "If your life is to have any value, then you must put it there." I like that a lot. It didn't bother me a bit that he didn't believe in God, because it was obvious, through his conduct in life, that he was much closer to God, than most people who do believe. And in that, you will find the context of what really matters. When people live in serenity, and practice compassion & love in the conduct of their lives, they are demonstrating the Essence that inspired religions in the first place. And that is certainly more fundamental than any scriptures.

Time spent in anger, is time you cannot spend in love. Time spent in sorrow, is time you cannot spend in joy. Time spent in destroying, is time you cannot spend creating. Time spent in learning, is time you cannot spend being foolish. Time spent in healing, creates time you can spend in health. Time spent in meditation, enables you to see clearly enough, so that you will not waste any time.

On the Spirtitual Plane everyone knows what the Truth is. However, the more disconnected one is to their Real Self, the more one needs to justify whatever gobbledegook they have substituted for the Truth. How else can they prove to themselves that they believe whatever nonsense that they believe, than by attacking anyone who believes differently than they do? This is why Fundamentalists of any religion are always so quick to resort to violence & terrorism.

On the other hand, the more one is connected to their Real Self, the more one is prone toward tolerance & compassion. Regardless of what Spiritual Tradition to which one adheres, the closer to Enlightenment one gets on their Path, the more one will enjoy discussing the process of how to become Illuminated with people who are working towards this through other Paths. Each of the Great Traditions is stronger than the others, in some aspect of this. When we put them all together, then the Key will turn in the lock, and we will all know the Truth.

When a soul chooses to move toward the Light, the darkness that has previously, been draining their energies to sustain the darkness, must assert itself to maintain its dominion. So everything seems to fall apart in your life, nothing that you desire to accomplish seems to come into fruition, and all of your efforts appear to be fruitless. That is the appearance of things in the material world. Do not be diverted from the goal by the manefestations of appearances as circumstances. You are a part of the Eternal, and partake of the Perfection of Life. Within you exist all of the Laws of Creation. Your part is to use your human Imagination to express the creative possibilities.

We can be said to exist on four planes simultaneously. Development comes along on these four planes, the Physical, the Astral, the Mental, and the Spiritual. Things work out best when we proceed along each of these planes simultaneously. Religions offer beliefs, doctrines, and dogma. Spirituality offers experience, knowledge & wisdom. Seeking externally, people go to religion. Seeking internally, people go to Spirituality. Spiritual people find the Power within themselves, and have no need to oppress anyone. Those who do not know this, must steal from others, to fill a void that can never be satisfied. A fool thinks only of the pleasures of the moment. The wise comtemplate both the far past & the far future, and thereby see what is of real value.

The most valuable thing in the world, and also, the most elusive, is the Balance Point. It lies between not seeing what is right in front of you, and seeing things that really are not there. To find this Clear Light, you must learn to rely, only upon yourself, and the Infinite resources within you. There is a great & wonderful power within you, capable of attaining any worthy goal. Learning the Divine Laws by which the Universe operates, learning how to live in harmony with them, and how to operate them, is a great task, but it is the Key to attaining anything which is worth having. When you desire something, you must put forth the effort needed to make it happen. Getting to know the Divine within yourself, and also within everything else, is it own reward. And it is a great reward of Serenity, Compassion, Knowledge, Wisdom, & Joy. These are the things for which you should pray.

It is not about the words we use. It is about our conduct, and how much we understand. On the Astral plane, everything is a symbol. Contemplate the symbols, until you see their meanings. Then the symbols vanish, and you can experience the meanings directly, and comprehend the Essences. Never underestimate the power of imagination. When the power of imagination is released, Magickal things become possible. Your consciousness is creative, gravitating conditions into your life according to Divine Laws.

The mind likes to be in control. It likes to fill itself with all kinds of thoughts, going around & around. When you meditate, you still the mind. In meditation you deliberately ignore the flow of thought. Your consciousness takes control of the mind for a change, and you can bet that the mind will not like this. That is why in meditation the mind will try to distract you anyway that it can. The thing is, that once your consciousness takes over control from the mind, your mind will become the efficient, logical tool that it was meant to be.

The attainment of True Wisdom burns away bad Karma, eliminating the need for one to go through the experience. If bad Karma can be burned away, how is this done? By learning to live in harmony with the Divine, one can recieve insight into Life, and see how to Live. True Wisdom is the Insight that reveals all the secrets, and how to become a channel through which blessings flow. Let the blessings of Love & Kindness, & Knowlege flow through you. Be aware. Pay Attention. Do what Love demands of you. In these ways will you step outside the Wheel of Karma.

There is this notion, that carries a Great Truth, that none of our ideas or beliefs really amount to much, except that we give our POWER to them through our acceptance of them. Our acceptance of beliefs into our consciousness, as realities, gives them power over us. Karma is not the only Law of Nature. There are six others, & each is just as powerful as any of the rest. Consider the 6th Law, the Law of Gravitation, (see my article on Metaphysics). You gravitate conditions into your physical life, that are in harmony with your idea of what you deserve. Thus, you have an opportunity here, you may change your attitude about your life, & just what you deserve from life.

You may choose that you deserve health, knowledge, wisdom & love. And those things will come to you, as you you earn them, through being a healer, obtaining knowledge, sharing of your knowledge while you accumulate more, and being real to people, without ulterior motives. Life follows the activity of the mind. Where the mind leads, there follows the pattern of your life. Memory is a good thing, if you use it as a source of information. But if you spend more time dwelling upon the past, rather than in planning for the future, where will your life go?

This reminds me of the story about a philosophy professor. He came to class with a gallon jar, and filled it with big rocks. "Is it full?", he asked the class. The students agreed. Then he sifted in a bunch of pebbles that fit in around the big rocks. "Is it full?", he asked again. The students agreed. Then the professor poured in a lot of sand until the jar was full. "The jar is your life. The big rocks are the most important things in life. The pebbles are important, too, but not as much. The sand is all the trivial stuff. When you are filling the jar of your life, put in the big rocks first, then the pebbles, and finally the sand. If you put in the sand first, then your life will have no room for anything important."

It is the Law of Gravitation. When you accept a thought or belief, you attach yourself to it, and everything that is connected to it. You then resonate on the vibration of that thought, and your subjective mind puts those vibrations out into the Universe. Conditions & situations that are like your worldview become attuned to you, and they begin to happen around you. "And the thing he feared came upon him..." A person who is afraid of, say, car accidents, is much more likely to do something that will get them into a car accident. But someone who drives confidently, and pays attention to what is going on around them, will find a way out, should danger arise.

Negative thinking clouds the mind, & impairs reason. Positive thinking clears the mind, & makes it sharp. If you have the expectation that good things will happen to you, then you will see many opportunities, as they come up. BUT a negative thinker will pass by these opportunities as if they were not there, because their internal inharmony, blinds them to the possibility. "As a man thinketh, so is he".

If you think something is impossible, then you make it a fact in your life. BUT, if you think something is possible, then it is merely a matter of figuring out just how you will do it, to make it a fact. Realizing that the Divine exists within you, makes it possible for you to untie the knots of bad Karma that bind you. When you release your attachment to a negative condition, a Hidden Agenda, then it can no longer hold any power over you, & soon, it will disappear. This is the Magick beyond spells, and you have always held this power within you, because God lives within us, and we live within God. So Mote It Be!!

Human languages were developed, so that people could discuss their surroundings, and activities. They are very much oriented toward dealing with the material world. So it is extremely difficult to speak of non-physical phenomena with language. The most ancient writings of a Spiritual nature used symbolic language. The problem with that, is that unless one knows what the symbols represent, one can only guess at their meaning. Careful Initiation into the Mysteries, and the discovery of your inner connection to the Divine is required, to understand them. Now our languages have evolved considerably with our comprehension of the physical laws of the Universe, and much that was once hidden can now be revealed in relatively plainer language. However, one still must realise that the principles only have meaning when made into realities expressed in your character & life. They are not merely ideas. They are the Archetypes that structure Life.

Completing the circuit is the real Magick trick. You have to make the connection between the positive source & the negative ground. When the circuit is complete, then the power flows, & things happen. With intuition you have to recognize it, & make use of it, to complete the circuit. If you do not heed your intuition, you will have turned the switch off, and you will stop getting flashes of intuition. But if you heed your true Inner Voice, then it will speak to you always, becoming an active part of who you are. If you are on the Path, then you can never be alone, because the whole Universe is within you, & without you....

You know how, when a plane just breaks Mach1, it creates a sonic boom? All this pressure & turbulence builds up, and at the speed of sound, there is the boom, and then the plane moving faster than sound, bypasses all of that as things adjust to its movement for smooth sailing. I think that the time period before a Spiritual or Magickal breakthrough, the same thing occurs. You do almost everything you can think of to get things going the way you want to on a major project, & BOOM.... it all falls apart. When this happens repeatedly, it is because there is a principle you have been missing, that is the key to completion.

Most people know about the Law of Karma, and tend to relate everything to it, but it is not the whole picture. There are seven of these Cosmic Laws, and the results you get in life are directly related to your knowing how to apply them (see my article on Metaphysics). One Law in particular is very important, when dealing with repetitive karmic situations. This is the Law of Gravity. It is a law of attunement. Things that vibrate on the same frequency, are drawn together. What you believe in your inmost Heart about yourself, has tremendous power to gravitate situations similar to your beliefs into your life.

You can organize the best plans, carefully lay out the groundwork, do all of the necissary background research, and put out your whole effort, and still fail. The key to using the Law of Gravity, is to change your attitude about yourself, & what you deserve out of life. Absolute faith in yourself, in your abilities, talents, etc is essential. If you do not believe that you deserve success, then the Universe will not give it to you. If you believe that you are one who can do a great job, but will still be ignored, then that is what you will get. After all the work you have done to learn & apply this knowledge, your own self-image is the only thing that can hold it all back. So you need to develop your faith in yourself, based upon the preparation you have done, and see yourself as a person who is worthy & deserving of all that Life has to offer. BOOM!!

It is mind over matter in all cases. This material universe is an illusion created by consciousness through the Cosmic Laws. All of us are co-creators of the world we live in. When you consider the wide spectrum of Spiritual development of people on Earth, all of their varying belief systems, and the ways they use or mis-use the Cosmic Laws in the conduct of their lives, then this crazy world, actually makes some sense. On the Macrocosmic level, Karma functions exactly as we are taught in all of the Traditions. BUT, on the Microcosmic level, Karma manefests as Chaos, randomness, the uncertainty principle. So depending upon the plane of your perspective, everything happens for a reason, or nothing does. Both possobilities are simultaneous, and neither is mutually exclusive.

I know that the brain manufactures chemicals that are physical analogues of our emotions & moods. These chemicals break down after awhile, but while they are in our system, they do influence us. So you may have gotten yourself into a chemical feedback loop. You are depressed, so your brain manufactures depressing chemicals, which make you feel depressed, etc etc. We know that you can break this chain, because you are asking these questions. Now comes the hard part. Magick is largely the force of will, powered by desire & vision. What you need to do, is to replace the negative thinking with positive thinking. Every time a negative thought enters your mind, you must refuse it, and replace it with a positive thought of harmony or creativity. These positive thoughts will cause the brain to manufacture chemicals corresponding with them. Gradually, the chemicals associated with depression will be pushed out of the system, and be replaced with chemicals of harmony & peace.

Doreal, (founder of the Brotherhood of the White Temple, http://bwtemple.org), said that if a person could spend 24 hours without a single negative thought, that their health would return to the natural state of perfection, and that they would be so clear-minded that they would be able to figure out a solution for any problem that they had to deal with. OK. So that's a little bit tough. People love their negative thoughts, and are very attached to them. And it is very difficult to divorce yourself from something that you love, even when it is killing you. But if you can go for 12 hours a day with no negative thoughts for three days in a row, that should work just as well. Or even 8 hours a day with no negative thoughts for 5 days in a row. The thing is, you need to develop a new mental habit. Refuse the negativity whenever it crops up, and replace it with positivity. Over time, this will become easier, & easier, as the new mental habit becomes entrenched.

What people call normal is an illusion. Is it normal to believe things that are not true? Is it normal to behave in ways that are destructive to yourself & the world around you? Is it normal to live in ignorance? Is it normal to sabotage yourself with negative attitudes? Is it normal to desire harm to people who are different from you? Yet so-called normal people do these things all the time. What people call normal is an illusion. Remember where Socrates said, "The unexamined life is not worth living" ? Does somebody who has never questioned anything, or put out any effort to improve themselves or the world around them, really amount to much? You are only responsible for dealing with your own Karma, BUT you will also get Karma to deal with, from people who have attached themselves to you. Making choises is a difficult process, but with experience, you will begin to see the patterns & their results. It is an excellent Guide. And remember : No one has ever attained Enlightenment without first developing a sense of humor.

If you think that Spirituality with one foot on the ground works well, then wait until you try it with BOTH feet on the ground, your body in the clouds, & your head in Heaven (Qaballistic reference). The completed circuit gives you the perspective to see things as they are, from the whole gamut of perspectives, forcing an alignment of the entire spectrum, & revealing the Truth.

The Law of Motion states that once an object has been put into motion, that it will continue its trajectory unabated forever, unless another force is brought to bear upon it, either changing its motion, or vibration. That's the physical law, but it is also a Cosmic Law, and operates on all planes. A boulder of depression rolling down a hill, is not an easy thing to stop. It requires an equal amount of force moving in the opposite direction to bring it to a halt. A supreme act of Will could do it immediately, but developing a habit of positivity, will gradually slow it down, stop it, & reverse direction.

That is why there are so many different Spiritual techniques out there. You just have to find the ones that work for you. Meditation works for everybody, but it is a slow process. Some people chant mantra, others do Yoga. Nature walks, & hiking rejuvenate many people. There is power in music & dance, and also color therapy. Incense sets a mood of holiness. When the body is out of sorts, the mind doesn't do very well either. A reflexology treatment can remove a lot of tension, and make all of the rest of this much easier. Often people find gardening brings them closer to the Earth. Many kinds of exercise bring people a "high", which carries over into the rest of their life. There are lots of options.

With Karma it works like this. Whenever you do anything in thought, word, or deed, you set up a cause that will return to you as an effect. This cause will alter things around you, and that will also return to you, as a secondary effect. Finally, your motion through the Universe, your activities on all planes of existance, ripple out through the Macrocosm, creating a cascade affecting many things you probably will not be aware of, and this, too, will return to you. I think this is why in Paganism, that they speak of the Law of Three. It is also an excellent reason for cultivating a state of serenity & tranquility, as best you can. Who in their right mind, would want to spend Eternity dealing with a lot of crap? A simple act of kindness, not only helps someone out, but it also puts out a vibe in the aethers, which makes it easier for other people to do the same. Yes, there most certainly is a ripple effect.

Unreasoning & compulsive hatred will eat away your soul, especially when it revolves around the hatred of a group of people based on race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, economic class or national origin. Greed for money as an end in itself, or even worse, greed for power over other people, will consume your soul. And finally, the Dark Side, that malevolent manefestation of the lowest end of the Spiritual spectrum, which inspires destruction, genocide, oppression, and all kinds of fanaticism, is the Eater of Souls.

The Cosmic Laws work equally well for all living things, and it doesn't matter whether people know about them or not to stir them into motion. With people who are very unenlightened, the results are quite chaotic. Negative thinking & action leads to illness, and all sorts of inharmonies. Positive thinking & action leads to health & wider opportunities. So it all comes down to what you know, & how you apply it.

Nothing in this world or on any other plane can ever harm you, unless you have created within yourself a condition that allows it to. In Buddhism there is no force in the universe that is a personification of evil. Buddhists believe that the only evil in the world, is the evil that we harbor within ourselves. In the Buddhist Mandala of the Wheel of Life, there are three animals painted in the center, who are said to keep the Wheel of Illusion going around & around. They are a greedy pig, a strutting cock, and a snake in the grass. They symbolize the lowest of mundane desires : greedy, pride & treachery.

Love is Universal, and a power few completely comprehend. Most people on the Path concentrate on studying the theory & practices & history. This is necessary, but the most important work, is not involved in what we learn, as it is in what we un-learn. All the negativity, illusions, & unworthy desires, that the world dumps into our minds as we grow up, must be rooted out & gotten rid of, before we can make any real progress on the Path. In Buddhism it is taught that the ego is an illusion, and that this world also is illusion. In Western Occult teachings they speak of the lower self, and the Real Self. Overcoming the illusions of the lower self, the ego, allows one to realize the higher Self, ones true identity in the Divine.

That matter is not truly solid, that it is composed of space & fields of energy, is a clear indication that the entire physical Universe is nothing more than an illusion created by Mind. The material world appears solid, but this is an illusion. At the molecular level all separations dissolve into space & fields of energy. In Buddhism, the ego (or lower self), is also considered to be an illusion. All of the aggregates of personality are seen merely to be habits of thinking, with no more substance than matter at the molecular level. The belief in the reality of appearances is what binds us to the cycle of birth & death, and the world of suffering. By divesting yourself of all these false beliefs, one can realize their true identity in the Divine, and know that All is One.

Nothing harmful can affect you, unless you have created a condition in your mind for it to attach itself to you. Altering your perspective on things, changes your vibration, & then the condition cannot attach itself to you. Reality is fluid, and responds to what we put out by the ways in which we think. When people become rigid in their thinking, they bind themselves to conditions, & cannot see a way out of their suffering. Understanding how this process works is the Key by which you can learn to create the conditions of your desires.

The Universe will give you anything you want, but first the Universe looks into your Heart to see what is there. If you attach yourself to turmoil & trouble, then the Universe will give you that. If you attach yourself to peace & serenity, then the Universe will give you that, instead. Force creates resistance. Like a bar of soap in a bathtub, life will be content to rest in your hand, but once you squeeze it really hard, then it will slip away. Grasping AT things, drives them away from you. People do this because of their need to feel that they are in control, when they are not. By learning to control yourself, & understanding the reasons for your motivations, you relax into the flow of life, and gain the ability to steer your own course. Exerting power externally, shows that you lack power & insight internally.

Do not try to effect changes in the outer world, at a time when your inner world is in distress. How could that work? Magick is an act of will, but it must come from a mind that is clear & serene. The conditions that you find occuring in your life, are reflections of your most deeply held attitudes & beliefs. Attach yourself to thoughts of harmony, peace, kindness, strength, wisdom, knowledge & compassion, and these things will find a way to manefest around you in the world. Make the effort to do the inner work, and the external things will take care of themselves. That is the true power of Magick.

Harboring negative thoughts & feelings within yourself, will throw you out of balance. Holding false concepts about Life, will cloud your vision. People dwell so much upon negative things, that it will take all of the meditation & Spiritual Practices that you can do, to break the habit. Allowing the emotions to rule your life, will lead you to be irrational. Letting your intellect to dominate, will make you rigid. Neither of these is balance. Balance is a state of harmony, that gives you a clear perspective on what is important in Life.

Much of human suffering comes from identifying & defining ourselves with external things. All external things are subject to change. They have beginnings & endings. Attachments based upon things which are impermanent, can only lead to suffering. What good can come from defining yourself on the basis of a relationship, a job, status, or things acquired? When things get really complicated, then it is time to make them simple. If you are being pulled in many directions at once, then you need to be at your center. Having a strong center of calm is the Key to gaining control over your life. When you are in your center of calm, then all of the craziness of the world falls into perspective. Things that really aren't important, lose their power to command your attention. The center of calm that you will develop from contemplation & meditation, will enable you to concentrate your efforts on the things that do matter, and from this your life will sort itself out towards what it ought to be.

There are several different sorts of teachers. There are teachers who claim to be Enlightened Gurus, but who are actually only good at manipulating people to satisfy their personal desires, and relieve people of the "burdens of their material possessions". Beware these people. Next you can take Life itself as your Teacher, seeing everything that happens to you, & everyone you meet, to be the conveyor of a Divine message. This is a good teacher, but it may happen that you will not understand the lesson you are being presented with. Then there are the Teachers who have acquired great Knowledge & Wisdom in one or more areas, & who are totally sincere & kind. A few of these are Illuminated Adepts, but most are Initiates of the Mysteries, not quite Enlightened, but close enough. These you should treat as friends. And finally, there is the Teacher within yourself. Your Real Self, is always with you, but is also the hardest to find.

Each of us is an expression of the Great I AM, which is God. All of the Glory, Wisdom, Serenity, Compassion, & Power of the Universe, exists as a potentiality within us, and our job on the Path, is to make this possibility, a Reality, which we manefest in the conduct of our lives. Never refer to yourself as i, because that is to deny the Divinity which exists within all of us, if we would just be willing to see IT. Many times I have been told by Illuminated Adepts, that in any moment, it is possible to realize & manefest Enlightenment.

As you continue making progress on the Path, you will start having more experiences on the higher planes. You may know things, that you cannot account for knowing, get vibes from people, objects, & places. You may travel on the higher planes, having experiences on the Astral Plane or higher. You may become more & more aware of who you have been in the past. All of these things are gifts, and in time, you will view them as normal facets of your life. The purpose of devotional literature, is to raise the Mind above the mundane world, & plant it firmly in the Spiritual Realm. Allowing your mind to focus on fear, guilt, & anxiety creates an unhealthy environment both inside & outside. Some books that will lift your Spirit would be The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, Metaphysical Meditations by Paramahansa Yogananda ( a renowned veggie Yoga Master), The Impersonal Life (published by DeVoss), or The Secret of the Ages by Robert Collier, but I'm sure it is long out of print, having been self-published in 1926. All I am doing, is making clear what you already know in your Heart. When you see these truths in your own Heart, then you bridge the gap between your self, & your Real Self, and what is truly Divine in the Universe can express itself through you.

I could repost James's entire website - it is loaded with valuable wisdom, but it would really make more sense for you to explore it yourself:

Ascension

In Return of Light, by Elora Gabriel, Ascension is defined as the point
of unification of all our soul Aspects, thus becoming 'whole or one' in
Light again.
There are three types of Ascension described. The first is 'Personal
Ascension'- when an individual, through his own effort has attained that
level of vibrational frequency and balance and 'ascends'. just like the
Ascended Masters of the past like Buddha, Sananda, etc.
The second type is the 'twin flame' unification. In this type, souls
created as twins, who find each other, unleash energy and consciousness
which are encoded in them at their time of creation, thus attaining
ascension.
The third type is when planetary portals open as described in the above
mentioned post. In this type of ascension, souls who have developed and
prepared for the high frequency vibration that comes at this time will
ascend. As to what level of consciousness will that be, I do not know.
But in the Law of One, The Ra Material, it says that souls with at least
51% positive polarity can ascend. Souls of majority negative polarity
can also ascend if the negative polarity is at least 95%; this is so
because even in the higher dimensions, positive and negative polarity
still exist, not just positive polarity.
In another material (I forgot the name), it is said, that a person can
ascend, regardless of status of polarity, if he wills and accepts the
new vibrational frequency.

Raising your Frequency Numerically

by Mariah Napieralski

With your intent, instruct your body and fields to increase your
Energy frequency to its next higher octave with ease of integration
Say it out loud or in your mind. Once you see the format, you can do
Without looking at this guide. Say the number in words, whatever words are you natural speaking language….so that you are saying up to the near end one billion, one hundred and eleven million, one hundred and eleven thousand, one hundred and eleven –say each number with words!
Somewhere around four hundred and forty four you will feel your energy bodies clear and somewhere around eight hundred and eighty eight million eight hundred and eighty eight it is likely that you will break out into spontaneous laughter, no matter what your mood was before. Don't just look at the numbers, it is designed to work by saying the numbers in words while intending that your own natural energy frequencies raise by that amount each time.
Somewhere around nine hundred and ninety nine billion nine hundred and ninety nine million nine hundred and ninety nine thousand nine hundred and ninety nine, it is possible that the walls of the room may look transparent and you may feel as if you are floating. Likely way before that you will feel like you can journey and travel by simply moving your consciousness easier than at other times. Now, once you have gone up to a certain level of the numbers, let's say you got interrupted...there is no need to start from the beginning, when you resume, because if you do, it will likely feel like pressure, as if someone is shoving you downward, because your frequency has already been raised...simply resume at or near wherever you were!!! This can be done about twice a day. I've tried more often, as I am instructing clients and it doesn't feel like it is doing anything for me at that point. You will gain insight into where your energy frequency is and how often it is beneficial to raise your frequency. Sometimes just quickly going up to the master numbers of four hundred and forty four and five hundred and fifty five and etc. within the 3 digit range is more than sufficient.
When I first did this and got up to one trillion, one hundred and eleven billion, one hundred and eleven million, one hundred and eleven thousand, one hundred and eleven, I felt like I was stuck to the ceiling, all giggly without a clue as to how to get down, because I had the feeling that I didn't want to just drop down!!! However, naturally my frequency reduced on its own. I would love comments and feedback about how others experience this energy increasing exercise and how high numerically you have gone. Whole-Self Attunement

Whole-Self Attunement (also known as Axiatonal Re-Alignment) focuses on reestablishing
connection with the larger Self, and to work with IT to achieve total
Self-Realization.
Whole-Self Attunement helps to re-establish connection first of all to the
Oversoul. It also reconnects the severed axiatonal lines, and rejuvenates the
axial circulatory system. Once the connection has been re-established, the
Oversoul transmits the appropriate energies through the axiatonal lines to
regenerate, and reharmonize the various bodies according to the Divine
Blueprint.
Axiatonal lines lie along the acupuncture meridians, and feed into major spin
points that lie near the surface of the skin. Spin points are small spherical
vortices of electromagnetic energy that emit Light and Sound frequencies which
cause the atoms of molecules in the cells to spin faster. This increased spin
creates Light fibres that then create a grid for cellular regeneration.
These spin points feed axiatonal energy into the axial circulatory system, and
the acupuncture meridians. Every cell in the body also has a spin point. The
axial circulatory system connects all the spin points in the body. The connection
into the acupuncture meridians is also necessary to ensure that all cellular grids
are in harmony.
Axiatonal energy continually recharges all bodies, and additionally assists to
clear negative emotional and mental patterns.
The reconnection to the Oversoul level acts as the gateway to hook up to even
higher levels of Self. As we embrace our Wholeness, Spirit manifests more if
ITs vastness through the body, which allows for greater Light, Love and
Wisdom to enter. This is called “Descension of Spirit”, and as this happens, we
begin to express in the fullness of who we are - as Source.
Whole-Self Attunement is very sacred work and must be approached from this
perspective when working with it. You must prepare accordingly, and ensure
that you are working from your highest level of awareness, and from a place of
total integrity.
The essential steps with this work are: first create the attunement space and
establish a Pillar of Light within it and anchor it into Source in Spirit and Source
in Nature to establish the energy flow. Then raise your vibration to the highest
level, and hold that level of vibration to assist the attunement.
Another important part of this work is the use of intentions to set the stage for
the attunement. Intentions are very powerful, and as you hold the intentions with
a clear focus it allows the flow of energy. It is said that 95% of the work is
accomplished with intentions alone.

The Five Obstacles

by: James Clair Lewis

There are five obstacles that you will have to overcome on The Path. The first four are obvious, because they are physical conditions. However, any of them is completely capable of derailing your progress, and consuming all of your time. They are :

A) Physical danger.
B) Poverty.
C) Hostile relationships.
D) Illness, and bad health.

The fifth may be the hardest of all to overcome, since it lies within you. The fifth obstacle is your own EGO, and in all likelihood, it is the cause of all of the other obstacles that you will have to deal with.

Illumination is attained when one overcomes the Five Obstacles. That people have been reaching this Divine State for thousands of years, shows that it can be done. That only a few in each generation have been doing it, shows that it is difficult.

The greatest obstacle is the EGO, because it sets up the conditions for the other four. The Grand Illusion of the material world, is that external conditions shape our fate. If a person develops an unshakeable conviction, that the circumstances around them determine who they are, and what is possible for them to accomplish in life, then they make that a fact. That is what most people have been doing, and consequently what happens to them in life, is largely determined by whatever Karma they have created in past lives. Believing that external conditions determine what you can do, and what you cannot do, binds you to the Wheel of Suffering, and the cycle of Birth & Death.

Those of us here who are old enough to remember the 50s & 60s, know that at that time, that most white people in America were racists. But then the Civil Rights Movement came along, and thousands of people developed the conviction that things could change, that all people should be equal under the law. It is the law of the land now, and while there are still racial incidents, and groups based upon racist beliefs, the truth is that most Americans no longer care one way or the other. Perhaps it is not perfect, but the difference is like night & day.

Back in the 60s the Hippies were an outgrowth of the Beatniks. Many Hippies spoke about getting "back to the land", and living in harmony with the environment. In 1970 there was a major Human Be-in known as Earth Day. From this sprang the Environmental Movement. Now while it is still true that there is much pollution, & destruction of habitat going on, it is also true that most people in America now try to recycle things that can be recycled, and many corporations have gone "Green". In the town where I live, we get three trash barrels. One is Green for yard waste. One is Blue for paper products & plastic bottles. The other is Gray for everything else. This would have been unthinkable 30 years ago, except that people got an idea of how things could be, and they took action towards making it real.

So here are two examples of people changing the world by the Power of Thought. They adopted an Ideal, and made it a Reality. They did not allow external conditions to sway them, but set a Goal, and proceeded to take action that changed the world around them. The Five Obstacles that the world must overcome, before establishing civilization on Earth, and much greater than those faced by any individual, and since even those things can be dealt with, it follows that an individual can overcome the Five Obstacles within themselves, and attain Enlightenment.

There are Seven Cosmic Laws that govern the manefestation of everything in the Macroscopic & Microscopic Universe. It is not only our actions that create Karma, but also our beliefs, attitudes, and mental habits. Moreover, the Law of Gravitation works to attune us to conditions & situations in the world that match our mindset. That is how Magick operates, and every living thing is doing this all of the time, regardless of whether they know it or not.

Things are the way they are, because we are what we are. You can change. You can learn & grow. You can adopt a mindset of heath, wealth, beauty, serenity, and harmony. Doing this will change your circumstances. Obstacles may arise, but you will adapt. Where most people may simply give up when faced with a problem, you must have Faith that you can solve it. It is that Faith that will keep your mind open to a solution, and without it, you might as well as give up.

You probably have heard stories of people who became wealthy, and then went broke, yet a few years later they were wealthy again. While they were broke, they did not have any more resources that anyone else who was broke, yet they managed to get out of it, in a fairly short amount of time. What they had was an absolute conviction that they were wealthy. They refused to accept within themselves the vibrational mindset of poverty, and consequently they went out, and discovered new ways of generating wealth.

Then there is the case of poor people who hit it big with the Lottery. Almost all of them end up broke again within two or three years. Besides not knowing how to manage money, they maintained the poverty mindset within themselves, and consequently found ways to get themselves broke again in short order. And that is really sad, because losing wealth after attaining it, is a very painful experience.

You hear people say that "Money is the root of all evil", and they say that rich people live very unhappy lives. That's all a lot of hooey. Those beliefs can only bind you into the condition of poverty. Having grown up in a working middle-class environment, having worked hard at a lot of different standard sort of jobs, having been totally broke, & lived on the streets, AND having inherited some wealth, & subsequently lost it, there are a few things I can tell you about money and its relationship to happiness.

First of all, poverty is the worst. When you are poor, you are always hemmed in by material limitations. You may work really hard at various jobs, but you will only barely make ends meet. Worst of all, poverty will consume all of your time, and leave you with nothing left over. In poverty, you are always struggling, and may have to face physical danger, and ill health on a regular basis. Poverty drains the Soul.

Extreme fantastic wealth, also brings some problems. There will be greedy people trying to get your money away from you, and they have no scruples. It really hurts to trust someone, only to find that they were nothing but a pack of lies. Moreover, maintaining extreme fantastic wealth, requires all of your time & effort. This keeps the individual focused soley upon material things. Nevertheless, the problems of extreme fantastic wealth are nothing compared with the problems of poverty. Note also, that when a person in poverty accumulates a small reserve of cash or a few nice things, that there will also be those greedy individuals who will try to take even that from them. The greed factor is a problem for both the rich & the poor alike.

By far the most comfortable, and easiest economic level to maintain, is somewhere in the middle. Here you can afford nice things, and live in a neighborhood that is safe from crime. A pretty house on a quiet street, with a nice garden, just might be the ultimate in what REAL wealth constitutes. Certainly, it is easier to attain Enlightenment in an environment where you are free from fear. I wonder if this was a part of what the Lord Budhha meant by "The Middle Way"...

There are certain things that you can do to get yourself into this lifestyle. Realise that unless your regular job is a highly-paid career job, that working for somebody else, is not going to make you rich. You'll have to start your own business... something that you can do on the side, (I believe that some of you are already doing this. hehehe). When you have your own business, there is a chance that it might fail, and put you back at Square One. Except that that wouldn't really be Square One, since you would have gained experience, and have a better idea of how to proceed the next time. Every person who has attained great wealth, has failed & gone broke a number of times. It didn't stop them, and it shouldn't stop you either.

The next principle is saving money. Almost nobody does this, except the rich. Most people will spend whatever comes in as fast as it comes in, and if they start to make more money, they just spend that just as quickly, AND they lock themselves in to having to spend that money all the time. Thus, they end up on a treadmill of debts that weigh them down Spiritually. Saving 10% of your income will create a resevoir that will attract more money to you. This 10% should never be touched. Over time it will accumulate to the extent that the interest from it will become another source of income for you. The money that you save, would have gone into silly frivolous stuff that could only please you for a day or a week, & then be forgotten. You don't need to collect that sort of junk. Possessing shabby things, puts out a vibration of shabbiness, and this contributes to the poverty mentality.

When you spend money, spend it on quality things that will give you pleasure for years. Gradually surround yourself with things of beauty & durability, and you will be creating an environment that resonates positive vibrations all around you. Do not go into debt to acquire these things. The interest on the debt can easily amount to considerably more than the purchase price doubled, so it is more prudent to create a second resevoir of savings, (besides the basic 10%), that is earmarked for these sort of purchases.

The next principle for acquiring wealth is Charity. Giving 1% of your income to services to your community is a Blessing. You want to be a Blessing, don't you? The Path is a Path of Service. We should never forget that. To distribute while accumulating, encourages the Gods to look favorably upon you.

One final note about money, is that you shouldn't talk about it. At best, bragging about what you have, will arouse jealousy, and at worst it will attract the attention of thieves. It should be obvious that you shouldn't want to have to deal with either of those conditions, so don't create the vibe that will invite them in the first place. Something you will notice after you have put these principles into practice for awhile, is that you will be living at a much higher standard of living than most other people at the same level of income. This is because your perception of your relationship with the Universe, has the power to change the conditions under which you live. So Mote It Be.

Adopting a strategic attitude, & practicing, puts you into a futureward motion of direction. Often we do not notice the progress that we are making. It is like being electrostaticly elevated in a Faraday Cage. Everything around you seems to be normal, even though millions of volts of electricity will be all around you. It is the same with Spiritual & Occult work. One may not immediately notice the great strides one is making towards Enlightenment, because it all seems normal. What actually is happening, is that one's perception of what is normal is evolving to a higher octave.

Now I've been speaking a lot about how our attitudes can inhibit or expand our horizons. As we progress on the Path, we become more & more aware of things on the higher planes. When one's thoughts are primarily focused upon the material plane, they have little power to effect changes. When one begins having more experiences on the Astral Plane, then ones thoughts effect your surroundings with a greater degree of power. This is even more true, when one begins to function more & more frequently on the higher planes above the Astral.

So I want you to be very careful about how you think about other people. If you assume that a certain person, or a peticular group of people, HAVE to think or behave in a negative way, then you are in effect putting out a binding spell, that will help to hold them in that condition. When you have to deal with people who have swamped themselves with a limiting mindset, try to see them as working their way out of it. You will be amazed, & quite pleased by the results...

When you have a problem on the Spiritual Plane, and don't deal with it, that problem will manefest on the Mental Plane. If you don't deal with it there, then it will drop down to the Astral Plane to confront you. If you fail to deal with it on the Astral Plane, then that problem will come to you on the Physical plane in some form, and then you really have to face it.

The higher the level on which you solve a problem, the easier it is to deal with in the long run. If you solve a problem manefesting on the Physical Plane, by comprehending the Principle you need to learn on the Spiritual Plane, that problem may vanish instantly, or go away all by itself. This of course, requires a supreme attunement to the Spiritual within yourself.

CHAKRAS AND ASPECTS OF CONSCIOUSNESS

Chakras are energy centers that run from the base of your spine out the top, or crown, of your head. The word chakra is a Sanskrit word, meaning wheel or disc. There are seven major chakras, each a circular wheel of light spinning in your energetic system, associated with certain body parts, a color, stone, element, and function. By learning to tune into the energy of your chakras, you can begin to embrace the fullness of who you truly are.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed.

These chakras, or energy centers, function as pumps or valves, regulating the flow of energy through our energy system. The functioning of the chakras reflects decisions we make concerning how we choose to respond to conditions in our life. We open and close these valves when we decide what to think, and what to feel, and through which perceptual filter we choose to experience the world around us.

The chakras are not physical. They are aspects of consciousness in the same way that the auras are aspects of consciousness. The chakras are more dense than the auras, but not as dense as the physical body. They interact with the physical body through two major vehicles, the endocrine system and the nervous system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the seven endocrine glands, and also with a group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.

All of your senses, all of your perceptions, all of your possible states of awareness, everything it is possible for you to experience, can be divided into seven categories. Each category can be associated with a particular chakra. Thus, the chakras represent not only particular parts of your physical body, but also particular parts of your consciousness.

When you feel tension in your consciousness, you feel it in the chakra associated with that part of your consciousness experiencing the stress, and in the parts of the physical body associated with that chakra. Where you feel the stress depends upon why you feel the stress. The tension in the chakra is detected by the nerves of the plexus associated with that chakra, and transmitted to the parts of the body controlled by that plexus. When the tension continues over a period of time, or to a particular level of intensity, the person creates a symptom on the physical level.

The symptom speaks a language that reflects the idea that we each create our reality, and the metaphoric significance of the symptom becomes apparent when the symptom is described from that point of view. Thus, rather than saying, "I can't see," the person would describe it as keeping themselves from seeing something. "I can't walk," means the person has been keeping themselves from walking away from a situation in which they are unhappy. And so on.

The symptom served to communicate to the person through their body what they had been doing to themselves in their consciousness. When the person changes something about their way of being, getting the message communicated by the symptom, the symptom has no further reason for being, and it can be released, according to whatever the person allows themselves to believe is possible.

Understanding the chakras allows you to understand the relationship between your consciousness and your body, and to thus see your body as a map of your consciousness. It gives you a better understanding of yourself and those around you.

Unified Field of Consciousness

By Adrian Nelson

The results of the experiments we have reviewed build a new picture of the interplay between consciousness and the physical world. Together the experiments build a composite image that describes the attributes of field consciousness. Emerging is a new model of mind and matter, one that revolutionises our understanding of our place in this world and our degree of agency in shaping it. We have seen that consciousness can extend out or reach into physical and biological systems to effect change. We have witnessed in the experiments of Rupert Sheldrake, Cleve Backster, William Tiller and others, the subtle dance of interconnectivity that exists between all things. These discoveries and experiments indicate consciousness emerges from a deeper, fundamentally unified order of reality. The unified field is the universe. It is an ocean, not of matter, but probabilities of relationships; information. The unified field is the evolving origin of all the “laws” and forces of nature that govern life at every level. Because of this, it may also adequately be defined as intelligence.
Consciousness, surfaces through self-organising biological systems in increasing coherence as they evolve and graduate into greater complexity. These evolving systems exist in a constant state of feedback with the unified field that itself can be considered to be evolving.
Can the universe itself be viewed as analogous to a great evolving organism? Classical Darwinist theories of evolution state that all features of a biological system must perform some advantageous function to the organism. If this principle can be transferred to our analogy of a universal organism, consciousness itself may prove to perform some intrinsic function in the unfolding of the universe. The evidence of what is now a countless number of scientific, rigorously conducted psi experiments indicate that what we direct our attention and intention towards becomes more likely to manifest in the world. We can be confident that this at least is true.

But, we have been told by leading scientists that our universe is slowing down, gradually unravelling at the seams and descending into chaos. However when we look at the world and nature objectively, there is evidence everywhere that this is simply not the case. It is at this juncture that I offer a conceptual model that is in part intuitive yet alluded to by our interpretation of the research.
I postulate that the universe is evolving into greater states of complexity and coherence and that life and consciousness can be seen as latent within the underlying geometry of the unified field. This field evolves complex biological systems out of itself that through their physiology, emerges a measure of self awareness. An organism’s very inner subjectivity, whilst individualised as it rises through the filter of the body’s nervous system, is at its most discrete level, fundamentally one with the unified field.
This process, if it can be seen as serving a function to the universe itself, might be described as the universe observing itself. I will from this juncture call this the experiential function of the observer.
The experiential function serves to communicate or feedback with the evolving ground state. Organisms evolve an individualised consciousness or an impression of separation because the experiential function cannot take place at the undifferentiated ground state level. This theory assumes that some measure of the experiential function takes place at all levels of life down to the cellular level and possibly further. It also relies in a form of evolving memory existing behind nature which, as we have seen in the theories of Bohm and Sheldrake, seems to be the case.
As physicists have found as they attempt to measure quantum particles, their act of observation disturbs the particle from its original state. At this deeper level of reality, the subjective and objective are inseparable and the distinction between observer and the observed breaks down. Through their emergence from the unified field, the observer and the physical world exist on the same continuum like ripples and vortices upon the surface of the same body of water. The consciousness of the observer is therefore intrinsically entangled with its environment. This may be why experiments show that the direction of will or intention impacts a subtle change in behaviour of physical systems.

Tree Magic

By Don McLeod

The Curative Properties of Trees
Taking a walk through nature is not only refreshing and energising, it can also be a healing experience thanks to the energy of trees. In the early years of mankind, trees were regarded as special beings, no doubt because of their size and majesty. Apart from being the home of animals and birds, trees were also thought to embody a spirit, and people would leave offerings to the spiritual presence that resided in the tree. In India, most local shrines are constructed under trees. Shamans of Native American and Europe believed that trees also possess curative powers. Different trees are said to have particular medicinal properties. The following is a brief list of trees and the healing qualities they are said to contain...

Ash: Brings peace of mind. Warts rubbed on the bark will be absorbed into the tree.
Beech: Reduces swellings and skin inflammations. Helps to balance mental health.
Birch: The bark helps to heal wounds and burns.
Cedar: Cleanses negative atmospheres.
Oak: Brings vitality and long life.
Sassafras: Eases problems with the digestive system. Burying money near the roots of a Sassafras tree brings prosperity.
Pine: A renewal of energy can be obtained by sitting under a pine.
Willow: Adds vital energy to the elderly and the sick. Smoke created from burning the wood of a willow tree can soothe and guide the souls of the dead.

How to Find Your Own Healing Tree
Here is a small ritual for finding your own personal healing tree. Enter a quiet park or forest that has a variety of trees. Stand quietly amongst the trees and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths and release all thoughts from your mind. Then allow your consciousness to drop through your body, and to settle within your heart chakra. Now, with your eyes open, but unfocused, start walking through the trees. You should be able to feel the energy of each tree as you enter its aura. When you find an energy that feels right for you, mentally ask the tree for permission to physically make contact. If you then feel that it is all right to do so, approach the tree and place your back against it. Feel the energy of the tree resonating within you. Which one of your chakras does this tree seem to affect the most?

How to See a Tree's View of the World
You can also enhance your psychic perceptions of the world around you, by merging your consciousness with that of your healing tree. Allow your aura to merge with the tree's energy field, and with your eyes open, see the surroundings as if through the consciousness of the tree. A silvery glow will surround the area, and you will see the auras of other trees and plants. When you have finished this experiment, thank the tree for its participation, and move away from its energy field. Bring your consciousness up through your body and into your head, then take a few more deep breaths. Stamp your feet on the ground to bring yourself back to full conscious awareness.

Clearing Negativity with Trees
It is said that trees can also absorb negative energy from our bodies, without it doing the tree any harm. To clear yourself of negativity, find another tree that you are intuitively drawn to, and ask permission to give it the negative energy that you have unwittingly stored in your body. Trees can transform and use this energy for their own enhancement. To gather and release negativity from your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self, run the palm of your left hand from the top of your head, and down the right side of your body, visualising the collection of negativity into your hands. Do the same with your right hand on the left side of your body. Then rub your hands on the trunk of the tree, thereby releasing all the toxins that you have gathered. Also run your hands down the front and back of your body and pass this onto the tree as well. Do this three times, and when you are finished, thank the tree for taking the negative energy from you.

Trees are more than lumps of wood with leaves attached. Make the effort to walk through a national park or forest soon, and take visual notes of the variety that exists even within the same species of tree. By making the conscious effort to look closely at a tree trunk, you will be surprised at the myriad of patterns and colours that normally go unnoticed. Each tree has its own characteristics and personality. And by taking the time to attune to a few trees, you will be amazed at the different styles of energy that emanate from them. For your health's sake, hug a tree today!

Psychic Protection

Constructively Dealing with Intuitive Empathy

by Judith Orloff MD @ drjudithorloff.com

How do you constructively deal with intuitive empathy? What practical methods can you employ to avoid becoming overamped or depleted? I'm going to present some strategies I use. Try them. See which appeal. One is not more preferable than another. Most important is if your choice works.

Walk away. - Let's say you're chatting with a man you've just met at a conference and your energy starts bottoming out. Here's how to tell if you're being zapped: Don't hesitate to politely excuse yourself; move at least twenty feet from him (outside the range of his energy field). If you receive immediate relief, there's your answer. Most people are oblivious to how their energy impacts others. Even energy vampires--people who feed off your energy to compensate for a lack of their own--aren't generally intending to sap you yet still they do. Obnoxious or meek, vampires come in all forms. Watch out for them. For years, reluctant to hurt anyone's feelings, I needlessly endured these types of situations and suffered. How many of us are so loathe to appear rude that a raving maniac can be right in our face, and still we don't budge for fear of offending? Whenever possible--if your well-being feels at risk with an individual or group--give yourself permission to make a tactful and swift exit. In a spot, physically removing yourself is a sure quick solution.

Shield yourself. - A handy form of protection many people use, including healers with trying patients, involves visualizing an envelope of white light (or any color you feel imparts power) around your entire body. Think of it as a shield that blocks out negativity or physical discomfort but allows what's positive to filter in. For instance, your sister is on the rampage. She's about to blow up; you don't want her anger to shatter you. Now--take a deep breath, center yourself, engage your shield. Literally picture it forming a fail-safe barrier around you which deactivates anger. It simply can't get to you. Shielding is a deliberately defensive technique aimed at guarding your feelings, not repressing them. It works by establishing a perimeter of protection around you that functionally doesn't permit harm in.

Practice vulnerability. - One tenet of my spiritual practice is to remain as vulnerable as I can to everything; not to shield, the antithesis of defense. Some people prefer my strategy, some don't. Use it if it succeeds for you. Here's the premise behind this: if we solidify our bond to our inner self, we'll become centered enough not to need to defend at all. Thus, the best protection turns out to be no protection--a stance that initially alarmed me. It didn't seem possible I could do hands-on energy work with someone who had cancer or depression, for example, without absorbing their symptoms myself. But it was. What could be more liberating than to find I could hold my own and still remain open! Too often we're taught to equate vulnerability with weakness. Not so. I like being vulnerable and also strong. This disarms people. To me, the appeal of such an approach is that it's a non-fear-based way of living in the world. It requires that, increasingly, you harmonize with whatever you confront, let it flow through you, then recenter again, stabilized by your own resilience. Pace yourself. A vulnerable posture will feel safer the stronger you get. It is a choice and a life-long practice.

We can be more sensitive to some people's energy than others for two main reasons. One, that we feel a rapport with them so we're more open to picking up their vibes during stressful times. Two, we tend to be sapped by issues we haven't worked out in ourselves. For instance, if you have unresolved anxiety and a coworker is anxious, you're more likely to be thrown off by it. So do you best to work on your emotional issues so you're not so vulnerable to others who are going through similar things. I'm in psychotherapy for just that reason. I need to keep my energy high so I must deal with my own emotional issues so I'm not drained by others.

Meditate. - To cement your inner bond and hold your center in any situation, I recommend a daily practice of meditation where you focus on the spirit within. Doing so gets you into the habit of connecting with yourself. Start with a few minutes, then gradually increase the duration. The technique is simple: follow your breath and explore the silence. It is not void or empty; that's the mystery. As thoughts come, and they will, continue to refocus on your breath. Every inhalation. Every exhalation. The spaces between thoughts are where your spirit waits to be discovered. There is something real in there worth finding. My spirit feels like a core of head-to-toe warmth vertically aligned though the center of my body. Imbued in the warmth itself is an intelligence and intuitive responsiveness to my rhythms and questions. It speaks only truth, which resonates like a chiming in every cell. Silently become acquainted with your spirit. You can return to it to reinforce who you really are--not just the self you present to the world, but that part of you that is timeless. Make room to pursue it.

Layers of the Aura

1. Etheric Body

The Etheric Body extends out between 2-4 inches from the physical body is usually a shade of blue. The Etheric Body is the Etheric Map for the physical body holding the complete template of the Physical. When there is an imbalance in the Etheric Body the physical body will be directly impacted and be out of balance also.

2. Emotional Body

The Emotional Body extends out a further 4-6 inches from the Etheric Body, is quite colourful with a wispy cloud look. This is where we store our emotions and these can reflected back to us in the physical from here until we learn to heal them.

3. Mental Body

The Mental Body extends another 4-6 inches from the Emotional Body and can be yellow or bluish in colour. The Mental body holds our thought processes and when we are generating negative thought patterns, the colour of the aura in this layer will change to a darker, muddier yellow.

4. Spiritual Body

Often called the Causal body or Astral body. The Spiritual Body extends out another 4-6 inches from the Mental Body and highly coloured and rather beautiful, like Jacobs coat of many colours [perhaps this was what was being seen] the Spiritual Body is the connecting layer between the lower 4 bodies and the higher [including the physical] and the higher light bodies and it is also the Body where we hold love for ourselves, family and friends. When we are truly more accepting of ourselves a light pink hue may be seen.

5. Etheric Template Body

The Etheric Template extends out another 2-4 inches from the Spiritual Body. This is the mirror double of the Etheric Body holding the negative space of the Etheric Body. In this layer we align with the Divine Will and encouraged to speak our Truth willingly and live accordingly.

6. Celestial Light Body

The Celestial Light Body is a deeper shade of pink than the Spiritual Body and is the layer of universal love and compassion. It is here we learn to love mankind and devote ourselves to a greater understanding and forgiveness of all. This layer encourages us to realise and live with the knowledge that we are all connected and fear cannot exist if Love is all there is.

7. Ketheric Template

The Ketheric Template is seen as Gold Light, which is in fact a fine web [rather like a rutilated quartz]. This web is the web of our reality and creativeness. When we connect with this layer it allows us to see reality and the Divine Order of All, giving a deeper understanding of the lessons and lessening the illusion of separation.

The next layers are said to be:

8. The Memory Body

This layer interfaces with Karma and the Akashic records recording past, present and future karmic memories. It is also known as the “White Zone” and is connected with the crown of the head.

9. The Soul Body

The Ninth Layer is the Soul Level associated with the planes of existence between the worlds of Heaven and Now and is related to the soul Star Chakra [9th Chakra]. The Soul Body connects with our “oneness” and the Divine order of our pre-destined soul contracts.

10. The Integrative Body

The 10th layer serves as a pathway between the physical and spiritual relating to the 10th Chakra [Grounding Chakra]. This layer is also known as the “Dream body” which is able to separate itself from the physical body and enter into the astral realms. It is here we access data from our genetic and soul heritage and the imprint of our soul purpose.

11. The Eternal Body

The 11th Layer of the Eternal Soul is where we are transformed into our Light Bodies in preparation for Ascension.

12. The Universal Body

The 12th Layer of the Universal Body is pure Divine Consciousness and pure connection to the Divine Mind, the Ascended Masters, and Pure Unconditional Love within and without.

Learning to See the Aura

1)Learning to See Aura

Once you have decided that you want to see auras, it is important to learn about how we see auras and what their effects on us might be.

To learn to see auras, you must first learn to retrain your eyes, which have been damaged in a way by the constant bombardment that we expose them to every day in the form of our computers, our televisions, and the video games that we play.

To retrain your eyes, you will need to learn how to use a new kind of vision. You will need to learn to use your peripheral vision to be able to see auras correctly. If you never learned how to do this effectively, then the following exercise will help.

2) Activating your Peripheral Vision

Stare at the black dot. It is tempting to look around, but you need to focus your eyes on this dot and not look around or look away.

Doing this without blinking is best, but if that is not possible, do not worry. After 30-45 seconds, possibly before, you should begin to see a colored aura around the circles.

3) Why this Works To Help You See Aura

The auras that you see are actually the images being imprinted into your eyes and your mind. You should notice that the colors reverse, since the inverse of red is cyan, a shade of blue.

When your eyes are moving, they constantly process things in a slightly incomplete manner, similar to watching a television show, where frames of action seem to flow fluidly. By holding our eyes still, we can increase their processing power and their sensitivity, which helps us to learn how to see auras.

Do not go out and stare at people quite yet, though, there are other steps to master.

4) The Next Step In Aura Viewing Techniques

Your goal with this exercise is to focus your eyes so that the circles appear to split into four circles. Overlap the center circles and focus until you are able to see a white cross. This takes practice and can be hard to do at first. You are training your left brain and right brain to communicate with one another. A few minutes of practice every day can prove highly beneficial in being able to see auras.

5) How to Apply It

Find a willing subject and sit them in front of a plain white background to start out. You should stare at a singular point; the middle of the forehead is best. After a while, you will begin to see the aura against the background, but resist the temptation to look away, or you will lose it.

After a good 30-60 seconds of concentrating, close your eyes to see the aura alone. Be quick! After about two seconds, your eyes will readjust and you will lose it.

You can also practice seeing your own aura with a plain white background and a mirror, allowing you to develop your auric sight and to become more proficient at seeing auras without the need to stare.
